Foster/Volunteer
Since we do not have a facility, we rely on foster homes to help homeless cats.
The purpose of becoming a foster is to provide a temporary loving home for a cat/kitten(s) until they are ready for adoption.
Being a foster means being responsible for caring for the cat/kitten(s) until it is physically and socially ready to be adopted into a forever home. F.A.C.T. provides food, litter, other necessary supplies, and medical care for our foster cats. We will support you through any medical concerns, scheduling medical appointments, and arranging adoption. We will also consult with you when someone applies for adoption, so you have a say if you feel the home is right for your foster.
Fosters will be expected to keep F.A.C.T. updated on their cat/kitten(s), send photos/personality information so the foster cat/kitten can be put up for adoption, and bring their foster to veterinary appointments and events when needed.
Fosters must live within 30 minutes of Queensbury, NY and have reliable transportation.
